Heart to Heart

Here is something fun and exciting that Lovett does once a year. We fill out a survey and then on Valentines Day, we are given a list of who we are most compatible with. It isn't serious and usually it just provides a good laugh. I really like it and I think if they would do fun little things like that all the time it would just lighten up the monotonous school life every once in a while. And you never know, it could just get something started. (Good luck to all those lucky guys who got Mrs. Wingate on their list!)

Does this make any sence to anyone?

I would simply like to point out a fact that seems so blatantly stupid that it is actually funny: everyone knows the Chenaults and most know they are organists. And not just any organists, they are nationally famous and sought after organists. Mr. Chenault was asked to be the organist at arguably the biggest church in down town New York City but he turned it down to stay at Lovett. Well then you might think to yourself ... why have I never heard them play? Honestly I can’t answer that question. I have heard maybe that it has something to do with the union they are in. That is absolutely no excuse. If they wanted to, I'm sure Lovett could work out a deal so that the Chenaults could play. Many of the S&M people, who are with the Chenaults constantly, have only maybe heard them play once, at All Saints Church. I was just informed that there is an entire collection of music that, when they stop playing, will be named the Chenault Collection, and we have never even hear them play and assembly or anything.

My point is this: we have the privilege of two nationally famous organists teach at our school and yet they sit in chapel and listen to some guy that is terrible play the processional. That just seems irrational at the least.
